It’s Christmas Eve on a cold Wisconsin night and all the family have gathered. As adults laugh of tales past, the children head to bed with dreams of Santa Claus’ presents awaiting at sunrise. With the warm fire crackling, Grandfather passes out our traditional Christmas drink, warm rich chocolate mixed with fine German peppermint schnapps – Peppermint Paddies! It’s a wonder the children stay sleeping while stories and laughs continue deep into the night, as we cherish being home once again.
To re-create this chocolatey treat we combined decadent fudge and peppermint with notes of vanilla, cream, hazelnut and a hint of coconut milk. So yummy!
